How can looking at art help students build strong character and community?  This self-guided tour of The Ringling Museum of Art will lead students through an exploration of 8 works of art that touch on some of the issues young people face in their daily lives.  Included in the guide are questions and suggested activities that will spark discussions about identity, family, integrity, compassion, and maturity.

This self-guided exploration is designed to accompany a visit to the Embracing Our Differences outdoor art exhibit as part of EOD’s “Make-A-Day Of It” program.

As this is a self-guided tour, no docent will be provided to the group.  Rather, teachers can download a written tour guide from or by emailing
