In addition to fun the students will have learning and performing the dance routine, there are physical and mental benefits as well. Group choreography fosters teamwork, communication, trust and cooperation. Dance also has been proven to nurture important life skills, such as discipline and focus. Dance can be an enriching, classroom-based activity because it can be integrated with study of diverse cultures, math, and sciences such as anatomy. According to Dana Foundation research, dance can benefit children’s ability to learn new information because it stimulates the brain’s visual, auditory, and memory centers.
We will schedule a full day of instruction and can handle up to one grade level at a time. Each group will need 30-40 minutes of instruction prior to performance.
