This school tour introduces students to archaeology and the people who inhabited the Sarasota area approximately 5,000 years ago.

Students will learn how early people lived and built their society in Florida. They will learn about the science of archaeology and how archaeologists study the ancient past.

Students will participate in a hands-on field study simulating an archaeological dig. They will excavate, examine, and document artifacts found at the Historic Spanish Point campus!
