Explore the essential building blocks of art with The Ringling. On this tour designed for art students, an experienced museum educator will lead your class through in-depth visual analysis of artworks in The Ringling’s collections. Students will practice guided and intentional looking, identifying the components that an artist used in creating a work of art. Following guided looking, students will also use the elements of art to critique and analyze the artwork. No prior experience with art or visual analysis is required, but a familiarity with basic elements of art such as color and line is recommended.
The Ringling uses Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meets or other platforms as requested for virtual tours. To request a virtual Elements of Art tour, please fill out this form.
