Explore the essential building blocks of art. On this tour designed for art students, an experienced museum educator will lead your class through in-depth visual analysis of artworks in The Ringling’s collections. Students will practice guided and intentional looking, identifying the components that an artist used in creating a work of art. Following guided looking, students will also use the elements of art to critique and analyze the artwork. No prior experience with art or visual analysis is required, but a familiarity with basic elements of art such as color and line is recommended.
Teachers will meet with a Ringling educator ahead of their class tour to customize the artworks used with your students. Interactive technology allows for students to remain engaged throughout this 45 minute tour.
