Did you know that the rain forests are home to more than half the biodiversity on the planet?

Immerse your class in the sights and sounds of the rainforest in Selby Garden’s Ann Goldstein Children’s Rainforest Garden through this self-guided experience designed to complement your students’ visit to the Embracing Our Differences Exhibit held at Bayfront Park each spring.

Take advantage of Selby’s proximity to the exhibit with a short stroll along the shore and extend your field trip with an expedition through Selby’s world-class collection of tropical plants. A chaperone-guided plant hunt and exploration of the Gardens investigates the importance of uniqueness in the greater realm of ecological biodiversity.

For Title One schools, admission to the Gardens in conjunction with a visit to Embracing Our Differences is provided free of charge by the Patricia Rederer Memorial Fund. Admission for all other schools is $7 per student for a self-guided experience.

January-March, during the Embracing Our Differences exhibit
