Since 2004, Embracing Our Differences has used the power of art and prose to promote diversity. One way we accomplish this is through our annual international art exhibition in Sarasota’s Bayfront Park. The juried exhibit consists of 45 billboard-sized works of art, each accompanied by an inspirational quote.

Providing totally FREE field trips to our downtown Sarasota exhibit is a lynchpin of our education program.  Field trips are offered between January 18 and April 5, 2020.

Our year-round education initiatives represent the most important aspect of our efforts – reaching and impacting the lives of thousands of area students and teachers. Since 2004, more than 361,000 students have participated including 43,018 students in 2019 alone.

Click HERE to sign up, and you and your students will be on your way to a free field trip focusing on art appreciation, character building and diversity education. For additional information, please refer to our guidelines.

Our “Make-a-Day-of-It!” program provides free bus transportation for area students and teachers to our annual outdoor exhibit and to other cultural venues, including Florida Studio Theatre, Mote Marine Laboratory, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, The Ringling, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, and Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe. 4,847 students participated during the 2019 school year.
