It’s 1942. World War II is on and the leading men of Sarasota are off at war. But the show must go on and a group of passionate, but inexperienced performers rally together to produce an ambitious all-female production of Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Parts 1 and 2 and Henry V. This show has been described as a love letter to the theatre and a much-needed examination of war from the viewpoint of those who are not actively in combat. Will their production be a victory on the home front or be pelted with rotten tomatoes?
