Combined with a tour of our own rainforest gardens, this wild and wonderful exhibit of hundreds of hand-carved and painted masks is ideal for Spanish language classes, art classes, social studies classes, and, of course, science classes studying the rainforest.
These original works depict the vibrant and authentic Borucan culture of central Costa Rica and provide a breathtaking glimpse into the flora and fauna of the rainforest. After viewing and sketching the uniquely inspiring elements of these masks, students will have the opportunity to create their own rainforest masks, drawing inspiration from either the tropical rainforest or our natural environment here in Southwest Florida.
