The circus, being a unique world within a world, has developed a language of its own. With a mixture of people from many different countries living and working together words have been created or adjusted to meet the needs of the circus life.

Essential Concepts being presented by the Circus Arts Conservatory:

  • Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, relevant descriptive details, and well-structured event sequences.
  • Determine or clarify meaning of unknown word.
  • Demonstrate understanding of figurative language, word relationships, and nuances in word meanings.
