Earth & Space Science presented by the South Florida Museum & Bishop Planetarium

Let the South Florida Museum take your students OUT OF THIS WORLD to explore the planets, moons of our Solar System and the stars of our home galaxy- The Milky Way! Students will also experiment with the force that keeps the universe together, gravity. Exploration can be customized to each grade level and standards. For example, K-3 grades will explore the planets as they circle around our sun while playing games to teach the distance, speed and temperatures of each planet. Grades 4-8 can expect to build models of  both distance and size of the solar system. This exploration can even address some of the larger issues and questions of astronomy and physics appropriate for high school learners specifically concerns about new data on extra solar planets, the creation of new elements and the discovery of the Higgs Boson.

Exploration requires 45 minutes to one hour and can be delivered to as many as 4 classes per day.
