As an educator, Artists in Schools’ teaching artist Donna Wissinger is the inaugural recipient of the Doris Leeper Award for Excellence in Arts Education. Among educator favorites are The World Turned Upside Down: Music of the American Revolution; Myths, Legends, and Fables; and The Pied Piper and other Fantastic Tales. A firm believer in life-long and interdisciplinary learning, Donna is a USPTA teaching professional; a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist; a marathon runner; internationally ranked long distance triathlete; and published poet and author.
